Romans basically copied many of the Greek gods so Bacchus is basically a re-branded Dionysus. You could say that Dionysus and this female equivalent was the god of the party or letting it all hang out, losing your inhibitions and surrendering to frenzied inspiration. And let’s face it a good party happens when everyone loses their inhibitions and things just happen.

So this Greek god costume is just the ticket for a Halloween party or some themed event. And dressed in this outfit you will have the right frame of mind to really get down.

It consists of a full length ombre gown in white and burgundy as seen in the picture. There is also a shoulder drape in a similar color scheme. The finishing touch is a gilded headpiece. Dionysus also used to hang out with a lot of party people too. Basically that’s all he did – go to parties. The people that used to hang out with him where described as Satyrs and Maenads. Maenads were the female that used to hang out with the god and they were described as the raving ones. They were intoxicated and frenzied by the atmosphere of the party. So if you don’t fancy being a god then be a Maenad instead.
